1878 Home
Built from a small photo in the reprint Village & Country Residences first published in 1878.

The base is real flagstone. The white wood frames are aspen and the siding is mahogany.  The roof shingles are made from safafras wood.
Opening the front door turns on the interior lighting, which is not very bright since this type of home would have had oil lamps. There is a Grandfather clock in the entry, a dining room with table, chairs, mirror and hanging light. Next is the parlor with fireplace and mirror. The second floor has two bedrooms and a library with bookcase, table and chairs.
The round window is a stained glass window (1-1/4") with light behind which would be attic area.
The house is about 18" wide and 21" high. The furnishing are scaled to match house. (1" = 1' ).
The depth is about 1-1/2" which makes it ideal for wall hanging.
